BOPET Metalized Film is a high-performance film created by vacuum metallizing a biaxially oriented polyester substrate, offering excellent barrier properties and a metallic appearance. This premium film provides superior gas and light barrier properties, with optical density (OD) reaching 2.2-3.0, making it an ideal protective solution for food and high-end packaging.

Our BOPET Metalized Film has outstanding barrier properties, with oxygen transmission rates as low as 0.5-1.5 cm³/m²·24h·atm and water vapor transmission rates as low as 0.5-1.0 g/m²·24h, effectively extending the shelf life of packaged products. The film thickness ranges from 12-36μm, with widths up to 8.7 meters, meeting various packaging needs.

With excellent mechanical properties and printability, our BOPET Metalized Film provides high-quality brand presentation effects while offering good heat sealing properties and processing suitability. The strong adhesion between the aluminum layer and the substrate (resistant to delamination) ensures product integrity during processing.

Processing Information

Printing

The non-metallized side of BOPET Metalized Film can be directly printed after corona treatment, compatible with various printing methods including flexo, gravure, and offset printing. It provides excellent ink adhesion and print quality.

Lamination

Can be laminated with various substrates using solvent-based, solvent-free, or water-based adhesives. Typically used as a middle barrier layer in multilayer laminate structures, providing excellent protective performance and decorative effects.

Heat Sealing Properties

BOPET Metalized Film itself does not have heat sealing properties, and typically needs to be laminated with heat sealable materials to achieve package sealing performance.

Storage and Handling

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Recommended conditions: temperature 15-25°C, relative humidity 45-65%. Shelf life is 12 months when stored correctly. To prevent static issues, it is recommended to perform static elimination treatment before processing.
